Mistakes

There are no mistakes. How many times have you heard that sentence someone saying to you. And you kind of agreed but...
I was doing my yoga practice this morning and only when lying in the final shivasna it hit me. There are no mistakes. And why? Because this is the only way we can learn.
Can you hear it? Doing "mistakes" is the only way we can learn. So what does it mean? What I mean is that only by doing the things which might be scary at times we get the experience of what we really needed to know on a very deep deep level. Otherwise, everything else, all the learning, studying, mediating or praying stays as an intellectual effort only.
As far as I remember all my "biggest" mistakes have led me to something really amazing even though it might not have looked like that at the time of happening. Seeing it from my present perspective, it does not mean understanding and not even getting philosophical about the "mistakes". The mistakes will give you certain energy which was not available for you before.
Avoiding or fearing making mistakes is actually contraproductive because it stops you from taking on the action which is necessary to get the energy incorporated into your being.
Now, I am not asying feel the fear and do it anyway. What I am saying is do not fear the consequences because there is no loss for you. There cannot be anything bad coming out of the action (unless you want to jump of a cliff). What I mean is that every single experience will enrich you beyond measures. You will find yourself a different person afterwards.
Teach yourself to be comfortable in uncomfortable situations. The more comfortable you get the better, the further you will get, the better you will feel afterwards too. And let me know how it goes!
