How about doing nothing?


Now these might be my last words to say to anyone before they stop being my fans ;) well, as human being we do not like doing nothing. Anything is better than doing nothing, right?

Wrong. Sometimes, you have done just enough and there is a time to relax, and chill and don't worry and just enjoy the ride. By not doing anything I don't mean to not move and just lie down on your backside. By not doing anything I mean not stress out, not try too hard not worry.... Have you ever tried?

Is highly recommended. The science is catching up and raving on the advantages of meditation or yoga and guess what, all those practices have one goal (if there was one). And that is - chilling! To let go, to surrender, to be in the flow which all means the same and refers to the general state of being which is not in resistance. Does not mean ecstatically happy but at least contend.

Your neurons calm down, your systems start working better and your creativity shoots through the roof. Once your mind gets quiet and stops obsessing about the usual ruts, space gets created. And in that space new thoughts can be born. Once which you would not think of, routinely.

So how about solving the problem you've been dwelling on for days just by a short sweet not doing anything session? Sounds tempting? Might be tough at first but give it a little time. Take a walk, go for run or swim if you prefer activity over sitting on your meditation cushion. Main point, do not give up. Doing nothing might be tough and it is an art of itself and as any other skills in your life, you need to learn that and over time only you can master the subtle art of dealing with your life in a different way. What can you lose? The risk is shading few problems only and feeling better in the process ;)
